Program Support Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Program Support Coordinator will assist and primarily report to Operations Manager. This is a vital role, managing program data and volunteers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Data management
    • Maintain and update program databases, track participant information, and analyze program outcomes.
    • Assist Operations Manager with ensuring program activities aligned with organizational policies and funding requirements.
  • Volunteer Engagement
    • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support program activities.
    • Help develop training materials and support the delivery of training sessions for tutors and volunteers.
    • Create, update, and ensure the accuracy of intake forms to collect relevant volunteer, tutor, and learner information efficiently.
    • Attend community events such as Farmer’s Market to represent WALC
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist the team with scheduling, meeting logistics, documentation for program activities.
    • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating our current programs and services.
    • Gather and analyze feedback from program participants to inform program improvements.
    • Organize and manage physical and digital records related to participant intakes and program participation.

A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE HAS/IS:

  • Ability and/or willingness to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Previous experience with database management preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft & Google Suite
  • Willingness to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Ability to work in an unpredictable environment
  • Detail-oriented & self-starter!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Hourly wage range: $15-$20 pending qualifications and experience
  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week) in-person position located at our office at 111 N Main St Oshkosh WI 54901

Marketing and Communications Intern – Spring 2025

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Marketing and Communications Intern role plays a vital part in curating and maintaining the public image of the Winnebago Area Literacy Council.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the curation of content for and management of organization’s social media
  • Draft promotional materials such as brochures, graphics, and other marketing materials for the organization
  • Help develop and compose the monthly newsletter to stakeholders
  • Support the gathering of learner and tutor success stories and pictures to post on websites, social media, and/or other written communications
  • Partake in community outreach events and activities
  • Contribute to the maintenance and design of organization website
  • Other duties as assigned

A GOOD FIT FOR THIS ROLE HAS/IS:

  • An interest in public relations, organizational branding, or social media
  • Eager to learn and contribute
  • Inspired and bringing ideas of their own to the table

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This is an unpaid internship with a minimum of 10 hours a week for at least 2 months
  • This is an in-person internship at our offices at 111 N Main St in Oshkosh
  • We will comply with whatever reports or forms your academic program requires for school credit if needed
  • We will help you to gain experience and leave with a portfolio of completed work
  • We are interested in what you have to offer and there is an extent to collaborate in making this role your own

Development Intern – Spring 2025

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Development Intern will be working to maintain and develop donor relationships, fundraisers, and community outreach to support the Winnebago Area Literacy Council.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain relevant donor information within donor management software
  • Provide communications to and with donors and stakeholders
  • Assist in data tracking and transition across different platforms
  • Draft small grants in collaboration with Operations Manager
  • Partake in community outreach and in-kind donation requests
  • Help with the planning and logistics of fundraising campaigns and events
  • Other duties as assigned
