What does literacy mean to you?
Literacy is access, strength, and freedom. There are so many kinds of literacy, not knowing how to read. Literacy is about having the ability to navigate all kinds of situations in life: your job, the doctor’s office, new technology, and so much more. Each has its own vocabulary, structure, and norms. By providing literacy instruction, the Winnebago Area Literacy Council is helping people navigate their lives.
