Before Tina became a teacher, she started out as a tutor with the Literacy Council. Throughout her transition, she has found enjoyment in watching the learners grow and make progress in their own personal goals.
When she is not teaching, you can often find her with her loved ones, being in nature, reading, or giving back to the community at the local nursing home.
What does literacy mean to you?
Literacy is a healthy understanding of the English language to where one can read, write, and verbally express intent in order to thrive in a community. This includes being able to understand social and cultural nuances that are relevant to your surrounding.
